The dishonest quote mining here from the usual anti religious bigots sure is hilarious. Did you all graduate from journalism school?

I wonder if the author ever addressed what he meant by "lukewarm Christianity"?

It's hardly a mystery people have even occasionally written irritated books about it the past few thousand years.

It's the people that call themselves Christian but they either focus on rituals or notional observance of doctrines that are the easiest and most comfortable. These are people that don't really believe they just act as if they do, their lie of Christian belief is either to others or themselves. Most of the NGK the last century or so at least for example, they say what they think are the right things but their church services are spiritually dead, people only come because it's tradition to come, there is no fire in anything other than humping the state's leg and compromising with the world.

Be like Jesus , Jesus chased moneylenders out of the temple and you should too.
Not sure how this relates to socialism but he certainly didnt want people in his house unfairly profitting from others.

I'm a little upset that the "fairly recent atheist" thread was locked when the discussion moved to Christian division and what is truly representative of the word Christian. I thought that was an intriguing discussion and really wanted to see where it would lead? Is it worth a topic on its own? Was it locked due to post count or complaints I wonder?

what does locked even mean, can it even be proven it is locked, the only thing one can be certain of is the thoughts in one's brain, everything is subjective
