No loadshedding for the last 24 days

Nope, I'm not shifting anything. I'm not part of this argument. I want loadshedding to be a thing of the past as much as the next guy, but I'm 100% sure we won't, and within the next 2 months, we'll be back at it again.

I do think they have been burning diesel to keep the lights on, but it's my opinion, and don't have enough info to confirm this. That's why I'm not arguing that point.

This is a prediction, not a conspiracy. I hope I am wrong.
So how much longer until that diesel runs out?

How much longer must Eskom keep the lights on before you're content to admit that you were wrong?

It seems to me that you've created a self-fulfilling prophecy here. Loadshedding is likely to happen again, even with the very obvious recent improvements Eskom has made. I'll be very impressed if they make it through winter without the need to shed.

When they shed this winter you will proudly, and irrationally, declare that you were right. "Look they finally ran out of diesel!" you and all your mates that were crying about Eskom burning diesel leading up to the elections, despite the evidence to the contrary, will declare. However them needing to shed again doesn't prove at all that they were burning diesel like mad. Shedding is likely to happen simply because demand increases. Eskom won't be able to meet that demand even with their improvements. You will assume causation where only correlation exists.

In the name of Christ, I put it to you that that's what I am thinking, without considering details. I also put it to you that I have no evidence of that so that's why I am not arguing that point.

Further, I put it to you that I do NOT wish for loadshedding to return simply to be proven right on a forum.

Power out in Northwold 16:00 to18:30. Load reduction

EDIT: Not load reduction, fixing the SS :crying:

To put it straight, you believe Eskom is lying about the diesel usage, right?

@Lupus. Ours went off at 16:00, Oh God please don't let it be SS blown up again.

Considering that they were 100% honest about the coal that got wet because of rain (first rains ever LOL), they probably are honest about the diesel.

Who knows but they themselves.
Plus when they ran out of diesel and the ship was struggling to dock, plus the koeberg issues and and

Yeah, that is what I am not getting, no one accuses them of lying when the say something bad, like when they inform us they have used billions worth of diesel in one month, but as soon as they inform us they have cut that down to millions then all of sudden people question if they are telling the truth.

I thought the wet diesel was a bullschit excuse at the time. What do I think now, you may ask? I don't know, I never gave it any more thought. Same as with the diesel.

Well said. Apologies for jumping down your throat there.
