No loadshedding in December, a new year gift.?

Hi .from past week, and few more days , I have been seeing that there is no loadshedding at all in my area and other areas....does this always happen like this in South Africa in month of December .?..is it a new year gift from Eskom..from what dates to what dates exactly is this no loadshedding period every year..?..
Or is this a once off thing which happened only this time suddenly due to some sudden extra electricity available etc .?

It is come and go. Depends on the demand and supply of electricity. We can have power units failing tonight and then we back in load shedding. Nothing to do with December.

Due to my status as potential Mod to be of MYBB I am allowed to regulate the power supply to a small town in the Western Cape. At the moment they are experiencing stage 4, tomorrow I will spin the roulette wheel again and see what stage it will be for the day.
