no luck with 808 and new data bundle

I just phoned 808 to try and change my 100Mb bundle for the new 500Mb bundle as per the mtn website : http://www.mtn.co.za/?pid=248769

the girly on the 808 helpdesk didn't know about it , nor could she find on her services list .

eventually I gave up.

So now what , when will 808 know about this and be able to help me.

I can also not ghange or update services via mtn-active as the website says my account is not in a legal state.... now what does that mean ? everything is fully paid up everymonth..

Hmm that's funny.. I checked and all the bundles with the new pricing is already available for prepaid (i.e., by by dialing 141) ... but yea helplines always seem to be behind schedule for some reason.. :rolleyes:

Howz it going not good as far as I can see

We did send a Data Campaign Notification to the Call Centre but as far as the 500 meg bundle goes looks like the development was done on MTN'S system ISIS but it looks as if there's a problem on SP's front end system which isn't giving the option to load it there - I'll follow up tomorrow with the SP development team. As far as your line saying its in legal PM me your number and I'll have Pitbull or Snakepit have a look and advise on that ASAP

I didnt have any problem from 808 loading the 1GB bundle though the lady I spoke to didnt know half of what I told her she was still helpfull eenough to find out and set it all up for me.

I think the only one they having a issue with is the 500meg bundle - Sorry about CS I'll have to get the Sup''s to follow up on that with there staff tomorrow

I'm also having the same problem... even before I reached my credit limit it said my account was not in a legal state.

MTNActive also states that my account is not in a legal state from the day my contract started - I cannot add or remove services and I just assumed that it was because my contract is on a corporate deal.

The account it’s a nursery account, he won’t be able to load services on MTNActive .
Nursery account.. meaning its a new account .
You can add/ delete service after 3months if your payment profile is good .

The legal msg you get - Here's the reply - It is a standard error msg to restrict client to add / delete services.

OK tried again monday afternoon.

still no luck with 808. I also realized that asking for the 500 mb bundle is going to have me over my credit limit. - suspended service again. So i think I will just go slowly on the data and wait for the 2nd of MArch.

By then my debit order would have been paid , and hopefully 808 back to speed.

Hanno if you're using a different device for data why don't you just load a prepaid data bundle, no problems with credit limits etc.

MTN Please educate your people I remember how I struggled to upgrade to TALK100. Took me three calls and only when I gave the magic words PRO 100 they got it right. They kept on saying it is going to cost me R500 to downgrade.

Okay,

Fist things first we don't have a package called Talk 100 we have a MYCALL 100

R500 to downgrade what if you don't mind me asking please explain I don't understand - What's the problem?
