No murderers, rapists or thieves...ANC draft policy sets bar for membership

True, it has nothing to do with white, black, Indian or coloured people, it has everything to do with ANC members.

Okay, I feel I may have to explain the original joke.

The ANC as an organization, while being guilty of the crimes they say are disqualifiers for becoming members of the party (and clearly having no intention of actually rectifying), often like to point fingers at a minority group and accuse their ancestors of such crimes (and by extension, those living in the current day). We could therefore deduce that what the ANC means by "no murderers, rapists or thieves" is no white people allowed because what else could they mean while spewing this BS with a straight face? Being a criminal is almost a prerequisite. They know it. We know it. And they know we know it.

Also, when I say "roughly translates as...", what I'm suggesting is that this is possibly not exclusively directed at only the white minority as was, for example, evidenced in the aftermath of the July 2021 riots. *nudge nudge Phoenix brothers and sisters*

Bottom line...the ANC makes everything about race all by themselves.

PS: my comment was intended as tongue-in-cheek but I didn't put a smiley face emoji in mostly because I wasn't laughing.

JOHANNESBURG - Murderers, rapists, robbers and sex offenders will not be considered for African National Congress (ANC) membership if the party’s proposed amendments come to pass.

Eyewitness News has seen a draft constitutional amendment document circulated to its branches.

The governing party plans to tighten its recruitment strategy in a bid to clean up its public image.

For the constitutional amendment to pass, it would need a two-thirds majority of support from ANC branches.

The first amendment in the governing party’s draft constitutional amendment document deals with criteria to be used when assessing aspirant members.

This forms part of the party’s plans to have better quality members and leaders amid a growing crisis within its ranks.

Dozens of members are embroiled in corruption scandals as well as other serious crimes.

Deadbeat parents will also not be let off the hook.

Indeed. The Friday thread suffers from premature ejaculation.

There are at most 5% ANC members who can be considered honest

Naneli Pandor is one. But who is going to replace the 95% dishonest ones?

Does CR consider himself honest?

I think we are the only country with such a policy. This should be common sense, but the scum here E.g ANC. / EFF for them this is a joke actually.
You mean the fact that they actually formalise it as a "policy" is an indictment on their morality? Because every other country has members that understand Common Law, and the difference between Good and Evil?

Agreed, it is a litmus of the morality of average ANC member, with facepalm results. If you could plumb the depths of their collective morality, just how low do you think you would get to? I'd wager that the Marianas trench is their Everest...

Guy, no one in politics is honest, they are human beings and are all just as fallible. The only difference is that there more you are at the forefront the more the spotlight shines on you and if it shines on you long enough someone might just see something. If you dig hard enough you will find something on everyone.
