Pretty much..

And I would reckon that if she continuously shuns the court, they will rule in her absence anyway eventually.
Yeah, but the ruling is moot. No serious company is gonna appoint her as a director, and if she gets onto an SOE board then it pretty much means state capture is back in full swing, and if not her, a hundred others who will do the same.

The ruling is very definitely not moot. Yes, no real private entity will appoint her as a director, but SOEs currently still can.

If she is declared delinquent then nobody can appoint her, period. By law if she is declared delinquent and is appointed, the board is not formed.

She should have been in jail already and not in front of courts or commissions. The corrupt ANC is protecting her and proving that she is one of those who are above the so-called law.

She'll probably appeal when she's declared delinquent. Otherwise she'll have to be removed as director of JZ foundation, and the Mhlathuze waterboard. She's also director of trade and investment in KZN (not sure that's a board position).

Whether this is a civil matter does not matter. A bench warrant can, according to the Magistrates Act, be issued by any magistrate or judge in a criminal or civil court. In fact, there were a number of instances in civil courts where warrants were issued before to ensure a person attends the trial or case. It is just the political will from the individual sitting on the bench that determines whether one is issued or not.
