We cannot afford to make the people of that country angry again, you all know how they behave when they are angry.

Considering all she's stolen and the damage she's done it's a pathetic penalty.

She took part in selling the future of the country, selling people into poverty for the rest of their lives... and she pays R60 000 with R60 000 suspended. Tragic.

She's not being sentenced for her stealing and treason. She's not been charged for any of that. Still agree she should have been fined a few million and still sent to jail.

Oh that's true my bad. Didn't read the first line. I had assumed this was all. It's still a pretty pathetic amount unfortunately.

Thanks for the correction.

Complete BS. The judiciary's processes and explicit instructions were given to her. She willfully and intentionally (not once but multiple times) chose to disregard it, even after being warned the first time, thus disrespecting the court and its processes to safeguard the life and testimony of a state witness.

If the judiciary are going to disregard this and issue a fine, then they are definitely captured. They have just put a price on the life of a state witness: it is only R120,000 R60,000.

No one is going to ask where she suddenly got money? Bet she used the ill-gotten gains to pay her way out. SA Justice system is a joke...
