It's winter. Ppl will be burning those heaters... Most ppl use those 2bar or oscillator fan heaters. No matter which way, those are 1200w to 2200watt each.

54minutes in, and i got me some delicious unplanned load shedding (1 June 20:54pm).

Lesson learnt.

fek, the ANC and its cadre run entities have promised ALOT more people ALOT more schidt and havent delivered, so why would Eksscum be any different?

Sorry to hear about your load shedding though.

dunkyd i'm in the same boat.. (but hey... rather safe than sorry)

I also got some backup battery power for about R7.5K (mecer 2400va with 2x 105ah's)

We'll have to see, i don't trust eskom (there is bound to be more loadshedding in the winter)

Thats what i think anyway.

Today is cold, with all accounts saying its going to be even colder tomorrow morning.
So we can safely assume the grid will once again come under pressure as the shopping trolleys get plugged in with jumper cables.
No Loadshedding? If you believe that promise, you might as well become a politician

Wonder why it only took a couple of weekends of 'maintenance festival' to remove load shedding... something very fishy here

No you see they play this little game of theirs... they are pushing for a price hike, and they want to make sure they punish the voter base sufficiently to pull them in line.

Indeed, I haven't bought into this 'not enough power' for sometime. 1/3rd always offline for years... does not add up

Yes it does if you consider the complete lack of competent maintenance...

Received notice that select zone schedules had changed, nothing had changed here so I didn't look into it. Only a heads up should you experience load shedding without your prior knowledge.
