No Surface Pro 3 plans for South Africa yet

jip, and then thy moan about low sales volumes.
but then the price is quite high... with cost of living ever increasing here in ZA, not sure how big the market could be for these tablets here, with Samsung and Lenovo etc, selling much cheaper W8 tablets.
even though there may be business wants for a few, and some of us wanting for personal use, a few 1000 is probly not big enough demand.
dont understand why they don't at least make it available, people wont mind waiting for delivery... but just to say no release will mean no sales

Yup - they already have supply chains for hardware - and now own all the Nokia supply chains. How hard would it be to add this, really? MS ZA are actually pathetic... I license nearly all my MS software direct from the mothership, because it's impossible to deal with the local MS.

Damnit, this really is pretty annoying.

I will probably have to import the damn thing now.

They're actually not that expensive for what they do...

I am in Canada at the moment, and played with a SP3 yesterday. Very nice !

The i5 models will be available here from 20 June. The i7's will come out two months later.

The i7 512 GB SSD, 8 GB RAM model will cost CAD 2000 + taxes !!!

That thing is a killer both specs wise and price wise. Longing to own one, would be a good all rounder

Real disappointment. I had just bought a 256GB Surface Pro 2 with Type Cover and Dock in February, off Amazon. Lovely machine. Beautifully made, and superfast. But the Surface Pro 3 screen size is just what I need.

As an aside, I don't think Microsoft SA has anything to do with the decision. In fact, I'm sure they argued and begged for it. It's Redmond that's keeping the lid on distribution.

Just for mos, here's the SP2 (bottom right), dragged infront of my 5-monitor office setup. :p
