Reports to: NOC (Network Operations Centre) Manager.
Minimum Requirements
• At least 1-2 years’ work experience assisting people with troubleshooting their technical issues and incidents.
• Working graveyard shifts, Weekends and Public Holidays would be required.
• Drivers License required.
• Own transport is preferable. [This may dependent on operational needs become a mandatory requirement]
• Matric
Key Competencies
• Experience working with and troubleshooting windows servers.
• Experience with server monitoring
• Working knowledge of server Hardware
• Basic Linux Knowledge
• Some knowledge of web hosting
Key Performance Areas (KPA’s)
• Provide support to internal departments and customers
• Provide support to our Dedicated Hosting customers
• Perform monitoring of all servers, systems and services
• Conduct trips to the Datacenter in order to perform maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Analyze system logs and identify issues with Servers
• Server setup and configuration as directed
• Perform upgrades and migrations of servers if required and as directed by System Administrators
• Performing backups and backup maintenance if required
