Hi

There seems to be quite a big change comming to the ADSL Arena (10G local Cap). As with any business it needs to evolve to keep ahead and stay strong. With this said, I believe the current Nocap system will be a solution to users who wish to get the max out of their 10Gig Cap.

My future plan for Nocap is to provide a solution for ADSL that would allow a user to have a 100% 512k uncapped ADSL line at a viable price (no Proxy). To clear this up: i would actually provide a service that would be like your current ADSL but with no Cap. This plan has been tried and tested and has proven to be successful.

What i now require is a serious investor who would be interested in joining this endevour and taking Nocap to the next Level.
I would currently require new infrastructure and equipment to provide this service.

If you are interested in seriously investing into Nocap ISP, contact me via Email : mail@nocap.co.za

A small note to everyone: this does not envolve hacking or any unsavory actions, just some intelligent thinking, all above board.

Thanking Everyone.

How certain are you of this 10gb limit at this stage?

I've heard that it was was being considered, but not yet finalised. I'm still hoping that someone wakes up and trashes the idea...

Hi

What has been reported to me is that there will be a 10Gig total Cap introduced in about a months time. The source is pretty reliable, but anything can change.

Thanx

So does this mean 10G local cap and a 3G international cap or 10G local and international cap combined?

My understanding is : 3G international cap and 10 Gig total (local) cap.

Im really feeling sick at hearing of this 10gb local cap, and Jason, you are probably our only hope...

No offense to you, as providing this service is amazing, but for my parents to fork out another couple of hundred rand if not more just probably wouldn't work so I don't see where I will be if they release that cap, cancel and go back to isdn? bah, I think it would be Sentech even though I can't game on it... They seem to provide a quality service thats basically uncapped to a certain extent rather than those greedy pricks known as Telkom...

The 10gig local cap would meant the end of adsl users and the local zahub!! Telkom are quite evil if you ask me!!

Im not sure of this. But how can the supplier of a service just change the rules at whim. Everyone that signed up agreed with the terms, even though I doubt this agreement would hold up in court. Its bordering on duress. I say this with a simple explanation. Who else can one buy a ADSL line from? And then to change the terms of the agreement without consulting the client. They would qualify for some litigation I would say. But then its Telkom, they think they are in touch with tomorrow.

If this 10 gig local becomes fact, another fact will be my termination of my ADSL account...theres no way I am going to pay R1000 / month for such a limited connection...rather go back to my old 56 k modem...slow but least theres no stupid limitations.

Nocap sounds like a good alternative so far if all this comes into effect.. but if Hellkom DOES introduce a local cap, Sentech should get their modems ready and start employing more people!

Where is nocap's website?

I don't see any "serious investors" investing in a business that has so far proven to be unreliable, and shaky at best. Where is nocap now? Are they still offering their paying clients a service?

Beware of shady underhanded businesses I say.
