Job Requirements:
They are now focussed on building a Service Orientate Architecture (SOA) where their systems are now, in contrast, standalone, de-coupled services built as scalable api's to serve their needs. Their current set of SOA services are api's built in – so experience is needed in:
• NodeJS
• GoLang
• Java
• Phalcon
• Yii
• Magento
Their teams and projects are all based on open source technologies and any new service they build is architected with this in mind. As a Senior Software engineer you will be expected to be able to work in any of these technologies and teams. Their large group of engineers are distributed between Lagos, Nigeria and Cape Town, South Africa. The CT office acts as a predominately technical division that supports the engineers in Lagos and the business as a whole. The engineers in Cape Town are generally senior resources who tend to mentor and lead young, up and coming software engineers in Lagos. The role includes being able to perform as an expert in at least one technology but welcomes expertise in as many technologies as possible and supports resources who are willing to switch between technologies, projects and teams at large. Engineers enjoy flexible working hours and many opportunities to visit Lagos and witness the booming commerce industry that is flourishing there.
