Nokia 2310 rinning problem

Hi,

My dad got the nokia 2310 a realy simple phone (over 50years). it has a stupid ringing tone, that goes from level 1 to 5 every time it rings. now he works in a factory and cannot hear it, until it gets 2 level 5, by then he has a second to respond until the call is ended and goes to voice mail.

I looked in the book and there seems to be know way to switch it off. any ideas, a chance for a work around
