Nokia 6822 Keypad Light Problem

Ok this phone is driving me nuts since yesterday

Used the phone yesterday no problems.. Last night after using it the keypad light stays on. The keypad light don't want to go off anymore

Stuff I tried:
Unplugged battery for 1 minute
Reset to factory defaults
Banging keypad with my hand
Leaving phone off for about 10 minutes

Nothing wants to help after the light has been on for about 2 hours I noticed it started to flash by itself, now it goes very faint(not off) and every now and then it goes on again

All the keys and everything works on the phone only this light thing buggin me out????
I am worried about the power the light consumes.. Is there a way to disable the light all together???

Have you downloaded some applications and stuff from the Internet?

If not, then is the phone still under warranty?

Nope warranty are long gone

No downloads, I think the light must just be on its way out.. Have to start looking for another phone, gonna miss the flipp open qwerty keyboard... I think there might be a E70 that looks allmost the same... but the cr@p part is everything works 100% just this damn light.. Wish I could have disabled it somehow.. I don't need a light on the keypad, the light switch for the keyboard still works perfect. Only the outside keypad light that stays on
