Nokia Lumia 1020 with 41-megapixel camera unveiled

The fat-grip-extra-battery-two-stage-button attachment is just an accessory people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeeezzz...

That being said, I don't like Windows OS. Now that phone with Android, yes please

I am very impressed, once a Nokia fan always a Nokia fan. This is a work of art, a camera that can shame some DSLRs and a phone that is extremely capable. Reminds me of why I loved my previous Nokia "sharp shooters" like the N82 and N8.

Well done Nokia!

(I am still sticking with my Nexus 4 though cause its more affordable)

GSMArena gives us an idea of some of the very useful things you can do with the Lumia 1020 41MP camera.

So, this is what DSLR owners do when they walk around with their cameras.

I'mo buy this thing and do a "right back at ya'" move with it at anyone who I see taking random pictures in public with a DSLR.

You might hate VW, but I approve of this post

The thick part looks like it contains 2x AA batteries as used in cheap cameras. Hell no.
Hehe, BeVonk! The thick part is a clip-on extension specifically for one-hand photography. Great thoughtfulness and design. The phone itself is like the 920, only lighter.

I think he's got that by now.

Nokia has done it's part now it's up to Microsoft to make WP8 a success

I'll pass. Nothing beats a DSLR camera.

Well some reviewers are saying that it does, although that doesn't really matter anyway. The fact is you don't carry your DSLR camera everywhere(well normal people don't :whistling:) so this is a pretty good camera for those sudden moments in life that spring up on you.

I would really like to see a dslr camera that can make calls do my banking, take some good pics and almost replace my pc yet fit in my pocket. Its not going to happen any time soon, even though I know most good DSLR's which cost more will probably take better pictures.

This is good innovation from Nokia just wish they can maybe get android since it doesn't seem windows phone is catching on that quick. In general I find the public here in SA don't like it much.
