Nokia N80 dictionary

Hey all

I just have a question about the spelling dictionary on the Nokia N80 Internet Edition, Symbian S60 9.1 3rd Edition. I've been spelling out my custom words that I need as they come up in mxit or when I send a sms.

However, lately I've noticed that some of the most commonly used words vanish for no reason, while some of the lesser used words are still in memory.

I currently have 29Mb free memory on the phone and 164Mb on the memory card. So lack of space to store words is not an issue. Does anyone know how the dictionary works, and if a person can edit it, or make sure that the most oftenly used custom words don't vanish?

i have a nokia n80 and i experience the same thing

ive come to the conclusion that it only has space for few custom words (say 50 or so) despite the amount of free memory you have...

so, once that space has been used up, any words u add after that will remove one of the existing custom words (presumably the first) and replace it with the new one you have added

so try to add only the most oftenly used cusom words so that they arent deleted by new, less oftenly used words

Hmm, yeah that happends to me all the time.

Guy the post above is right, it only keeps a few words. Quite irritating, that it just randomly deletes one of the previous words you added. Hope nokia sort that one out.
