I have had my Nokia N95 for a week and upgraded to a 3G sim which wouldn't work with my phone. MTN have sorted out the problem and here's how, so if you are having similar problems check this solution first:
We have identified the problem. It lies in the sim number range of the 3G sim, it is below range number 0492 877 127. Your number is 0485 917 450.
The USIM that works bears the following number or higher - 0492 877 127. You will need to do another sim swap and this problem will be resolved. We have alerted Nokia and they are aware of this.
