nokia software updater

has anyone used this recently to update their firmware. the first time it became available for my N80, i used it no problemo, then a couple of days later my phone up fcuks and needed to be sent in to be fixed. since then there has been numerous updates and i see my firmware is quite behind the latest.

i'm hoping nokia have improved their updating software....can anyone vouch for there new firmware on an N80.

i don't want it to up **** again during the holiday season as it will be difficult to get it repaired before all the places close. but i also have my obsession with having to have the most updated anything.....and this craving needs to be fed.

Hmm, my last incident with the NSU software sent my N95 into hospital ... been there now for close on two weeks.

I have to add that the previous update was successful, just the last one it sent it down the drain.

I hope so too ...

Ive updated N70's, N80's and N95's, and never had any problems....

Me updated 6 time already on two N95's. No problem. To be sure I plug in the charger in case the battery gives way. You know Murphy's law. Also use a established secure computer and INTERNET link!

I have been updating my N93 and have not had any problems. However, you should always backup your phone and then do the update. After update restore your backup to phone. This should help to protect your data in the event that there is a bomb out.
