Hey what do you know, my ADSL has been installed and is working perfectly AND it only took me like 4 weeks to get. Miracles do happen. :D

Now I need to protect myself from teh 3V0L things lurking in the shadows, namely viruses and spyware.

So nominate your favourite one please. More than likely I'll use AVG as an anti-virus but other suggestions will be taken into consideration. Anti-spyware I'm clueless on.

On your marks, get set, nominate! :)

I'll probably go with AVG but I'll check out Avast! as well. Heared good things about it.

Spybot seems to be the choice with spyware.

Firewall wise, does anyone know if the ASUS firewall, the one you get with the motherboard, is any good?

Your 3in1 solution, please, please dont use firewalls that come with your PC's MB, you will kick ur own @ss :)

Here's a reference website from a guru who still codes in assembler. www.grc.com

To test your firewall go to this link.

I personally use NAV2006 and I am happy with it.
For spyware, try Lavasoft Ad-aware Pro.

I passed all tests :) Guess what I'm running?

ZoneAlarm! Security Suite

I concur Jeeva, that's the best out there.

Your mp3's could get locked in a password protected folder, adn you have to pay to get them back, lol!

You are using a firewall ... one is running on your router.
