Hello Everyone.
After much reading here and there I decided your group/forum seems to be the most credible with great advice and consideration.

I just bought a new pay as you go N95. Charged it....booted it and watched it try to kill itself. I missed a very important call since my "new" mobile had decided to sign off without my consent!

Wary, I began to watch this phone sitting by my laptop go through boot after boot. While watching in disgust I got a call....there was no ringtone, just a constant vibration and rattle. (no, vibrate was off in settings.)

Soon as I landed back in London I went straight to my dealer and swapped it for another one new in the box. Proudly, no issues at all just yet. Everything seems to be exactly as we were told by Nokia before this device was made available to the fools who would pay so much for the pain.

I must admit it will take a while to build my confidence in this nice handset.

Sorry for the lengthy post but I wanted to say HELLO and get myself into the mix.
I have so many questions.....I will read all previous posts since I know my IT and mobile problems are not unique to me. Thanks!

Oh yes, wanted to ask. Did they say what was wrong with the phone?

Piesang.....

Actually, the gentleman who sold me the "defective?" unit was most helpful...like he almost broke my arm taking it away and handed me another in the box.
Happy to say the new one has not missed a beat....perfection, finally.

There is much more to the "N" series problems than Nokia will discuss. To answer your question.....no, they just wanted to send it off in the present condition. Call it the posterchild of the N95 software issues.

I just had in my hand the new Z8 demo from Motoland. Not being a Motorola fan I must say this one is a man's phone. Very cool how they designed it to bow when opened. They will sell like free weed. If it was only quad.

Regards. Cunny
