Ok peeps, I got a question for you all...

If anyone resides in Northgate, or surrounding areas. In the complex I have no signal, max 1 bar, so i wanny try and figure out whats going on there.

about 400 metres from home, at work, I have full reception...

across the road from us, some dude has got a antenna as big as a swimming pool sitting in his yard.

Would this make my signal bad? or better?

Coz theres no signal on cellphone either.???

Help please.

Ok, I assume you must be using & referring to a 3G or HSDPA data card, correct?

Are you using the little-clip-on antenna for the 3G or HSDPA data card?
Have you tried taking your laptop & data card outside, does the signal & throughput improve?

You can do any of the following:

1) check your coverage on the map.
2) call 155 to ask about coverage.
3) Mail customer care for same.

If you do have coverage, then we can further fault-find it.

If not, you can use the above channels to request it.

I'm living on the plots just north of the Dome, and have excellent reception! Speeds of up to 1.6Mbps when downloading... thus it might be you live in a 'dead-spot'.

Used to stay (2 mths ago) in Leo Ave, Sundowner. Signal very bad there as well. 2 years ago Vodacom came and tested, comment from the engineer was he had never seen such a strange signal ever before - connecting to many base stations and all sorts of strange events
