Not receiving calls on Vodacom from Telkom Mobile

Since I ported to Vodacom (prepaid), my wife on Telkom Mobile (also prepaid) can't call me anymore - just keeps on repeating "this call could not be connected". There was a short period of a few days where it did work, but not before or after that.

I'm not sure whether it's just her number that's not working, or all Telkom Mobile numbers. She can call other numbers, and I can receive calls from other networks.

Any idea how to troubleshoot / who to call about this?

Yes. I was in the same boat as you.
I ported from CellC to TM and my wife, from CellC to Vodacom, and we had the same issue.

Send TelkomMobile rep a message, and ask them to look at the call routing for a fault. There are sometimes faults where the system does not update the routing information and still tries to route to the old network after a port. Don't waste your time calling the help desk or anyone else. They will just tell you there is no problem and it is the other networks' fault.

He is now a Vodacom customer so Vodacom will have to get the routing updated.

I'm checking at TM first. If that doesn't work, I'll try Vodacom.

Ok. Just PM me your number and I will log a call with our port support guys for route table update. I have done this a few times for peeps here. Normally sorted in 24 - 48 hours

Can I be a bother, I am with Telkom Mobile, and I cant make calls to a friend's CellC number, it beeps and I get cut off, with the voice prompt: "This call could not be connected"

Whom can I contact, Ockie if you will please assist?

Hmm, I have the same problem but in reverse.

Wife ported from Vodacom to Telkom Mobile and I often get either "Network Busy" or phone just rings.
I remained on Vodacom.

Both on contract.

Anything you can help with?

I'm having a similar issue. My Telkom (ported from Cell C) number cant call my buddy on Vodacom (ported from Cell C).
I called Telkom and they couldn't help and, as I am not a Vodacom client, I have to jump through hoops to get any help.

Any help would be appreciated.

I never managed to sort it out with Vodacom or Telkom, but after a little more than a year later it just magically started working again. Still have no idea what the issue was.
