I dont want to get into what we all know about Sentech.

Fact is I dont see why I should cancel my contract because of their **** service and reponses. As a matter of fact I dont see why anyone who signed up should.

I am not going to rely on a very quiet group of users who have had talks with Sentech and all respect goes to them.

Fact is Sentech have failed to answer a very simple question and my problem is not with CUG or UG or anyone on this forum but with Sentech and their failure to answer this question.

When is their service going to be rectified? A deadline.

What we do have on this forum are numbers... I am not intersted in suing Sentech... I dont even want a sitdown and talk with Sentech.

I want Sentech to become answerable to its consumer... I want Sentech to give to me and others what we have paid for.

How do we do this?

New Media...

I knew 6 years in web development would pay off. Anyone smell mywirelesssucksII.co.za?

Sentech gave a deadline. It's come and gone already, whats the point in wanting another deadline? They have proved not to be trustworthy, so you have one of two choices. Stay with them and put up with their shoddy service or cancel. It's really a pity it has come to this because I really hoped Sentech would make a go of things. Maybe they still have a chance, but one things for sure, I will never trust them. They are no better than Telkom - and thats very sad indeed.

31 August 2004.

And that's exactly what you got. A dead line.

Why did I cancel? Well if you keep bashing your head against a wall all you get is a sore head.

I think you are misinterpreting the question.
Prior to the orginal deadline my service was perfect... It had its slow days... but on average it was good.
This is a new development brought upon by their bandwdith profiling software that has now capped International
BW for most Sentech users...

Perhaps I should follow the example of every Sentech user on this forum and cancel...

As a matter if fact this forum has kinda showed us all just how useless the SA consumer is...

vowthorn, I don't know for how long you have been following all of this, but VQuest is in my opinion 100% right.
There comes a time when even the foolhardy (I include myself here) have to pull the plug... that time has now come and gone.

Sentech have made no bones about how they intend running this fiasco of a network in the future. This inward looking parastatal mentality extends from the Help Desk to the Head Office. You the customer mean absolutely nothing to them….. and this attitude has actually hardened over time (see their media response to the CUG).

Yes, a few isolated people within Sentech have put in a lot of effort, and for them I truly feel sorry. For people like Kallie at the help disk who always tried his best, as well as to ProAsm who put his heart and soul into this project…. it must be quite devastating to see MW unwind like this.

The facts speak for themselves. Modems are being returned at a raid rate. These are now piling up on the floor at Sentech HQ. New contracts are simply almost non existent, and the once +3000 paying customers are sitting at about 1800 (probably even less by now).
Imagine a company like Telkom loosing 40% of it’s customers…. All within 6 months! This is Marketing history in the making.

Well said DBNNET.

Not the mention the MASSIVE goodwill that everyone had for Sentech initially. They were regarded as knights in shining armour rushing in to defend us from the Telkom dragon.

How things have changed ... [)]

Honestly if no one in Sentech is fired over this debacle then god help our country in the future.
