What about the reinfections that are not included in the stats?

We don't have enough information to include it in the stats at this time.

There are many more "What abouts" because the world has decided that you still can't trust information coming out of China. So for now we can use what we have.

90%?

My basic maths puts the death rate between 3% and 3.5%.
This is deduced from both Chinese official stats and unofficial stats as well as Italy's stats.

Thing is the virus' party piece is not the death rate, it's the 20% of people requiring hospitalization thus crippling the health sector.
I'm working on recovered vs deaths, cause technically the infected could swing either way.

It really is.
Extremely easy to spread.
Hard to detect.
Kills mostly old and sickly people thus putting less strain on the economy in the long rung as government will not need to look after them.
Shuts down the economy (hopefully temporarily)
So - has it been weaponised to hurt Trump, then?

After 4 heart attacks my ticker isn't as strong as it used to be, but I'm not even 40 (yet) and still hopefully have many more years ahead of me that I can use to contribute to the economy. I don't feel I fall into either category (old or sickly) but catching corona (or any strong strain of flu for that matter) would still be fatal for me, because my immune system has taken a serious knock.

People tend to think of Iran is just desert, it's avg annual rainfall is actually higher than Australias and our avg as well.
Compared to the driest continent on the planet, the country that has part of the driest desert on the planet within it's borders

Well if you think about it, people picture Iran as this vast desert all the time, but it's actually not.

High-dose vitamin C treatment of new coronary pneumonia

Google translate:

On the afternoon of February 20, 2020, another 4 patients with severe neocoronary pneumonia recovered from the C10 West Ward of Tongji Hospital in the Tongji Hospital.

After 10 days of practical exploration by the medical team and repeated discussions by the expert group, our expert group proposed a specific plan for the combination of high-dose vitamin C to treat the new crown and achieved good results in clinical applications.

We believe that for patients with severe neonatal pneumonia and critically ill patients, vitamin C treatment should be initiated as soon as possible after admission. This is because no matter the past Keshan disease, SARS and Middle East respiratory syndrome, or the current new pneumonia, the main cause of death of patients is cardiopulmonary failure caused by increased acute oxidative stress. When the virus causes increased oxidative stress in the body and increased capillary permeability, early application of large doses of vitamin C can have a strong antioxidant effect, reduce inflammatory responses, and improve endothelial function.

Flugon works fine for regular flu, it's basically a high dose of vit-c and caffiene along with a few herbs for symptoms.

Well most of the country is arid and mountainous with the exception of the populous regions where the vast majority of people live

Coronavirus shuts primary school after parent returns infected from Tenerife hotel in one of TWO new cases

A SCHOOL has closed after a parent returned infected with coronavirus from a Tenerife hotel where 160 Brits are quarantined - in one of TWO new cases today.

Burbage Primary School in Buxton, Derbyshire, sent out a WhatsApp alert warning people to stay away last night -as fears spread the deadly bug is taking hold in Britain.

A total of 15 people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the UK after the two new cases.

The Sun understands the Derbyshire parent had returned from the H10 Costa Adeje Palace in Tenerife, where hundreds of people are being confined after a coronavirus outbreak.

The other person confirmed to have the virus - which has killed almost 3,000 people worldwide - travelled back to Britain from northern Italy, which has also been ravaged by the deadly bug.

They have been transferred to specialist NHS infection centres in London and Liverpool for treatment.
