My fav conspiracy theory so far is the gates foundation has a patent on the virus and it's partially based on AIDS. A sample was sent to Canada for study, the Chinese stole it, took it to their Wuhan lab..... lost control of it.

Just because you don't believe in conspiracy theories, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you...

Where are you getting 1000 from? I get roughly 600 with the majority of new cases still from China.

I'm looking at:

Look at the Other Locations on the bottom of the graph, and ignore the last day which is usually incorrect on this graph (due to when researchers are updating it).

So for example:
02/25 = 2.8k infections
02/26 = 3.3k (+500)
02/27 = 4.3k (+1k)

Also, I forgot to add, look at the China graph:
01/23 = 639 infections
01/24 = 916 (+300)
01/25 = 2k (+1k)

So the rest of the world is pretty much behind China by a month and 2 days.

Remember this :

Statistics published from countries outside of China are showing a disturbing trend in fatality rates.
The oft quoted 2% is looking to be far too low. From many perspectives the number appears fine if you just compare the total cases and total deaths, but you have to consider the time delay between diagnosis and peak of symptoms/death. This delay is likely around a week.
Therefore if we look at Italy and their 400 confirmed cases with 12 deaths, the mortality rate isn't 3%, but triples to 9%.
Likewise with South Korea, taking today's numbers gives a low mortality rate, but taking numbers from five days ago gives a mortality equivalent to SARS

partially based on AIDS.

It warrants more scientific investigation rather than outright denial in my opinion, especially in light of the reports of using ARVs to treat it.

We live in a time where the truth often gets bullied out of relevancy. The sheeple want their easy answers and they are terrified of the thought of someone actually doing dark cloak and dagger things..... of course it requires investigation but it's never gonna happen publicly because the danger of it actually being true is too scary for the general public to want to admit.

Whether it's true or not does not matter, most thinking bubbles will dismiss it entirely just because it sounds dark smoky room enough.

They are two completely different classes, it would be like comparing snakes to people

First confirmed case in Azerbaijan.

A Russian tourist travelling from Iran.
I won't be surprised if the Iranian patient zero actually picked up the the virus from Russia or on the the other former Soviet Republics

It seems every country is just workshopping their response to this virus outbreak.

Nobody had any protocols planned for, tested and rehearsed ?

The Finacial Times is reporting that South African returnees from Wuhan will be taken to a 'remote part of the Free State'. So far away from civilisation as possible.

South Africa initially followed Chinese government advice to avoid repatriation but has changed its policy “after due consideration of the circumstances, and following several requests from the families of South Africans in the city,” according to the South African presidency. South Africa’s Mail and Guardian newspaper has reported that returnees may be taken to a remote area of the country’s Free State province for the quarantine.

There's a quarantine hospital in a remote part of the Free State ?

Or are we going to build one in 6 days...

It was discussed a few pages back, apparently they'll be put somewhere in or near Thaba Nchu.

I think I did an army activity there when in Bloem, if remembering right it's a township about 50km from Bloem...
