Worse part of the spread is the virus being given freedom to evolve. Coronachan will be coming in waves unless it's eradicated. A vaccine shouldn't be the only hope. We are still waiting for that SARS-CoV1 vaccine from the outbreak back in 2002.

The science suggests that most coronavirus (SARS, MERS etc) all undergo negative mutations making them less of a threat to humans.

I hear you but given the world population it is nothing.
What are the odds of getting in contact with one person that has it?

Your odds right now? Exponentially higher than in January and exponentially lower than in May.

I’m ****ed. I overreact to those meds.
What about the big whatsapp going around about using Vitamin C?
You fighting scurvy? If not don't bother. Zinc might help alleviate symptoms sooner

Am I the only one thinking social media and the media in general is making this thing bigger than it is?
Yes it is very dangerous but it seems like such an over reaction for the amount of people dying
( Says me that works from home:p)
But Mr Mila works for a multinational and many people has been sent home to work from home
They have been advised to work shifts. But they forget most people use public transport so if this is going to spread taxi's, buses and trains are going to be stopped.

Maybe I'ts just not close to home yet, but it all feels a bit hysterical.
No you're not the only one, but you'll get shot down soon.

Its not the dying that is the problem. Its the fact that Italy - a developed country with one of the best health systems in Europe - has run out of hospital beds and is using war-time triage to determine who gets to live and die.

Now imagine that happens here? Millions of immunosupressed and malnourished people overloading a health system that cannot cope as it is.

“To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive,” the actor, 63, wrote, adding that the couple would now be “tested, observed and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires.”

This is not good news.

Sounds like the first known infection in the southern hemisphere that is not an import - which suggests the warmer temperature is not a barrier ?

Conservatives are incompetent and/or malevolent, therefore things that are run well in other developed countries can't work in the US is... quite the argument.
Yet you still want the government in charge of healthcare, even though there is a good chance that people who you think are incompetent/malevolent will eventually be in charge of it.

They stuck post-it notes over the fingerprint readers at the building entrance at my office...
Went into Standard Bank yesterday to pick up a replacement card. They asked me to use a fingerprint reader about 4 or 5 times - right thumb, left thumb, confirm new password etc. When I asked whether we really should still be doing that in light of the coronavirus the consultant just laughed.

After that at a Caltex service station I was handed one of the dirtiest looking card machines I have ever seen, the numbers were almost illegible. No tap and go.

Long story short, the systems we have in place are ideal for the spread of the virus, and there is not enough time to change them.

My thoughts exactly but I do not have time to research this crap, currently I have not changed my behaviors I still avoid humans like the plague.. That has been the case for ever..

Gong to post it here because people are stupid and believe all the crap that is sent to them.

Hello, I'm Laila Ahmadi from China, student at the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Zanjan University.
The Corona virus or COVD-19 will reach any country sooner or later, and there is no doubt that many countries do not have any sophisticated diagnostic kits or equipment.
Please use as much * natural vitamin C as possible * to strengthen your immune system. Currently, the virus does not contain a vaccine or specific treatment Unfortunately, due to the genetic mutation that made it very dangerous. This disease appears to be caused by the fusion of the gene between a snake and a bat, and has acquired the ability to infect mammals, including humans.
It is important to have greater knowledge of the disease: Professor Chen Horin, CEO of Beijing Military Hospital, said: "Sliced lemon in a glass of warm water can save your life".
So whatever you are doing, take a look at this message and pass it on to other people!
Hot lemon can kill cancer cells! Cut the lemon into three parts and put it in a glass, then pour hot water and transform it into (alkaline water), drink it every day, it will definitely benefit everyone. Treatment with this extract destroys only malignant cells and does not affect healthy cells.
Second, the carboxylic acid in lemon juice can regulate high blood pressure, protect narrow arteries, regulate blood circulation and reduce blood clotting.
.
After reading the message, transfer it to the person you love and take care of your personal health.
Advice: Professor Chen Horin notes that whoever receives this message is at least guaranteed to save someone's life ... I did my job and I hope you can help me develop it too.
God bless us.

Quite a few recent cases in Aus suggested community spread.

FFS. Messing with my sports betting :p. Now will have to bet on ARB sports.. like F1;)

Don't hold your breath.

3 F1 team members are currently in quarantine in Australia; the Chinese Grand Prix has been postponed indefinitely and there are now rumours that the Vietnamese Grand Prix may be pushed back.

All major sporting events are at risk of being canned.

Could equally have been infected in the States or on the plane over to Oz.

Anyway, I don't think anyone said the warm south was a barrier, just that it would mean a less debilitating illness once infected.
