Some very good questions being asked, if somebody was in fact infected locally by contact with a Chinese Businessman, then why is the Chinese businessman also not listed as infected?

Dear Sir,
My name is Alex Liu from Newcastle, KZN.
The whole Chinese and Taiwanese communities in South Africa were rocked by the press statement from your department

"Health Minister Zweli said a 32-year-old man who had come into contact with a Chinese businessman tested positive for the coronavirus in the Free State.
This patient, who had not travelled abroad, becomes the first local transmission of the virus on South African shores. "

We are very concerned and confused by the following
1) was there any confirmed case of Chinese (or Chinese South African) in our country?
2) is this Chinese businessman confirmed infected with COVID-19?
3) if not confirmed, a normal people has in contact with so many different people on daily basis, just because of stereotype perception, this patient only remembers he was in contact with a Chinese businessman, your department decided this Chinese is the source of infection but overlooked all the other possibilities. It is a very unfair assumption.
We would request your department to investigate further and reveal clarity on this issue.
Because it is very harmful to all the other thousands of Chinese businessman in our country as any of them could be THIS Chinese businessman.
Thank you

Wuhan doctors say colleagues died in vain amid official cover-up

BEIJING (CAIXIN GLOBAL) - The hospital where coronavirus whistle-blower Li Wenliangworked and died has been hit harder than any other by Covid-19 due in part to throttling of information by officials, a Caixin investigation has found.

The Central Hospital of Wuhan, where Dr Li died, has seen over 230 of its 4,000 medical staff diagnosed with Covid-19, the highest rate of infection at any hospital in Wuhan, the epicentre of the outbreak, according to data Caixin has obtained.

On Monday, ophthalmologist Zhu Heping was the fourth doctor at the hospital to succumb to the disease, following the deaths of doctors Li Wenliang, Jiang Xueqing and Mei Zhongmingon Feb 7, March 1 and March 3, respectively.

he hospital's deputy chief cardiothoracic surgeon and deputy chief urologist remain in critical condition, the head nurse said.

A Central Hospital department head blamed authorities for endangering lives by spreading false information.

"The false information released by the relevant departments - claiming the disease was controllable and would not spread from human-to-human - left hundreds of doctors and nurses in the dark, doing all they could to treat patients without knowing about the epidemic," the department head told Caixin.

"And even when they fell ill, they could not report it. They could not alert their colleagues and the public in time despite their sacrifice. This is the most painful loss and lesson."

do you have a recipe you can recommend?

⅔ cup rubbing alcohol isopropyl
⅓ aloe vera gel
Must be at least 60% alcohol by volume

1 part vinegar
1 part rubbing alcohol isopropyl

Disinfectant
1 spray bottle vinegar or isopropyl
1 spray bottle peroxide
Spray with 1 and leave for 5mins then wipe with clean rag. Spray with other and wipe with clean rag. Order used does not matter.

You can also make your own wet wipes with any of the above mixes

Go to local home brew shop. Buy any of their food-grade brewery santizers and use according to instructions. Most is no-rinse, in other words, you can spray it on stuff and just leave it there.

Netherlands, one of the countries that dragged arse while Italy was starting to spiral out of control;

Capacity problem is imminent in hospitals, as the number of corona infections continues to rise sharply

“We see in some places in Brabant that it is getting exciting. By relocating corona patients to other hospitals in the country, the pressure can be reduced again. But if this increases in several places in this volume, then we will really run into problems in terms of IC capacity, ”says Berden.

Peak not yet in sight
The administrators of the hospitals in Brabant discuss the situation on a daily basis. We are also working on emergency scenarios and we are looking into whether extra equipment can be kept at hand.

More than 20 new patients have been admitted to hospitals in Brabant in the past 24 hours, Berden reports. “The peak is not yet in sight. There are more than the day before and certainly more than last weekend. ” Later today, RIVM will publish new figures on the number of registered infections.

LOL. Usually those sanitizers are highly concentrated, so for like R50 you can make 50 litres of the stuff. Works out super cheap and everyone should be happy.

That reminds me, gotta pop by the HBS this afternoon. Need a few bottles of StarSan...

EDIT: I have to clarify that there are plenty of this stuff going around. Please don't go panic-buy this stuff. You can buy 5kg tubs of oxygen-based sanitizers for cheap, so be wise about it, my dudes. It's essentially Sodium percarbonate.
