One can buy way more powerful/bigger/better cars for that price. But, there is a sucker born every minute

For that price you might as well get a Merc A class AMG, much better car, with a better name and my father has never had problems with their services or work at Merc, on the other hand we had nothing but problems until we stopped having my mothers Audi worked on at the dealers

I actually meant that, as a modded car, it's worth less, as it's likely to be less reliable, and any manufacturer's warranty is out the window.

With full maintenance plan and warranty intact, on a brand new car. It's a no brainer to me.

Its not actually that heavily modified from an engine point of view, Its a new turbo and a new ECU... but Oettinger charge nearly 7400 Euro for it which is around R95k.

And from what I can see, the warranty lies solely with Lindsay Saker who are the exclusive distributors of Oettinger products in SA at the moment.

Wouldn't touch this with a bargepole tbh purely due to the warranty issues. Also you can spec a brand spanking NEW golf out and still get this mod for less than Fury are asking for it.

If I'm not mistaken isn't that the same base 2l tfsi engine where the rings start to leak and increase oil consumption? If it is wont all that extra power reduce the engine life or increase oil consumption significantly?
