I use to sell the modems for NoWire, I bought one myself and all was good until the entire system seemed to crash down. We all know where we sit now... crap service, crap download speeds and no asnwers from a company taking our money.

I suppose I am posting this because I have been lurking since way back and just trying to sort my problems out keeping an eye on how others were going, but Ive had enough.

Sentech does their thing and Im stuck with NoWire

Email monthly statements coming through from NoBrains where my contract is "said" to be 512 and not 256 and Ive been debited for 3 months. Then having to fight for a week to get them to realise they duffed up and give my money back becuase I dont want a credit.

Calling THEIR support desk, in CAPE TOWN mind you on their 0861 number which is charged at *COUGH* national rates. DONT ever mention knowing Sentech exists, DONT EVER mention SENTECH, they take offense and almost wont speak to you again, they TELL you, DONT CALL SENTECH they WONT HELP YOU!! YOU ARE NOWIRE PREPARE TO BECOME ONE WITH US!?!?!

They have made me promises and have not delived to me, they have told me things and said the moon is made of blue cheese (your connection speed is fine), promised me the world (the 1st is the big fix day). those come from the TOP two guys in the call centre rooms of the two companies.... I have had a nice chat to Winston Smith about his product, he knows his book knowledge, COMDEX.... I also met the other AGENTS who sold the product, many interesting characters and the MD and some shareholders of NoWire and Fastcom, these gents were even more interesting.

We have a whole contingent of people working on Sentech, AS an ex-agent of NoWire I dislike them on a whole lot of levels least of them being that they are busy p!ssing me off and rapin me along with sentech on this deal.

anyone interested lets get going on giving NoWire a spoon full of something to let them know that RAPING US for the modems which in the US go for 1/3 of the cost is not ethical, when they gave Sentech the idea on this they should have KEPT closer watch on their monster because they created a SUPER SIZE HAppy MEal monster, and they should GET A CLUE... that entire CHAIN of companies should GET a clue.

i have spoken to tim of noclue and dark lord himself they really know how to sell the system even have met with a noclue agent who was oblivious to the problems and spouted off the benefits until i hit him with reality ....

this whole thing is going to colapse but we as a country cannot afford to have them go down ... we have fought for political freedom now lets fight for technological freedom ... petrol bombing icasa's offices sounds like a good start ....

Well, I just had a very interesting phone call from NoWire (Finance department). From the sound of things, all Sentech customers will be moved to NoWire, and to be handled through their call centre. Apparently. Starting with the 'problem' children. And I was asked to use the NoWire call centre (to which I asked whether the call-desk will mind being verbally abused and shouted at). The answer was 'well, I am not sure, as I am more involved on the financial side'.

Told them they are getting into a minefield (sounds like they are inside it already, though). Maybe I just got the phone call cause I actually got my modem through them, but have never dealt with NoWire, always direct with Sentech the past couple of months.

The good news though is that my rebate has come through - I am not being charged for September - so yay! I am finally 'paying' for this service what it is worth... at least for September.

NoWire is of the opinion that THEY dont know which "idiot" (actual term) gave out the date and impression that service would improve by today.... They also have no clue when things will improve its all controlled by Sentech and they arent sharing the information.... SO we are left in the dark...

I have been told that I need to CALL Sentech high up again to get my answers as NoWire, has NoClue as to what is going on.....

go figure.....

Uhm, I had a long chat with the "idiot" - their "top guy" from their technical department - Stephan. What was stunning is that he said that they allocate 30 users to one IP address to share the bandwidth. Uhm, OK!? ANYWAY (got to love technical discussions). He assured me that it would all be resolved by the end of August. So naturally, towards the end of last week I sent him a nice letter to say that the connection was terrible and I was reserving the right to cancel because of it. I also wanted to know what they were doing about. Surprise, surprise - DEAD QUIET.

So, when I get home, going to do a couple more tests and let the fur fly.

This is really, really ridiculous. We have really let them get away with murder and it is time that it stops. I have had *seriously* (with appropriate tonal inflection) enough!

If someone has further news on NoWire, please share!

Just got off the phone with NoWire,

their best guestimates..... Sentech had a list of 15 items they were fixing from easiest to most difficult... I want to know what the list was...

They are currently upgrading the highsites to Version 5 and also then we have to upgrade our Firmware to version 5.... not availible to the public yet apparently... WHAT is that gonna help... like the last upgrade gonna make the button on the modem work?

Oh yeah the netowrk management is going to be outsourced....

Thats what I could find out

I think it's time to remind the public how bad MySlowness is. I have posted a comment at
http://www.itweb.co.za/sections/internet/2004/0408230922.asp
and I would encourage others to do so too.

Actually v5 upgrades on all towers were completed some time ago.

v5 client upgrades are unofficially available on this forum. Go have a look at the Technical section of Mywireless.
