Malema and Ndlozi will answer to cop assault charges in court in October

The trial dates for EFF leader Julius Malema and the party’s MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi have been set down for October 13 and 28.
The pair face assault charges after they were allegedly caught on CCTV footage assaulting a police officer at the funeral of struggle stalwart Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in April 2018.

The case and trial dates were heard in their absentia in the Randburg magistrate’s courts on Monday.

Never! That never happens ...

Aren't charge sheets captured or does this process also escape capture? The last time I had to appear in court, all documentation presented was digitised.

I think Vorster meant that the 'original' charge sheet couldn't be produced when requested.

Love the slogan below the charge sheet.
I wish they would bring some Freedom, Justice and Security. All 11 tongues have spoken.

Forcing us to come to court was irresponsible, says Julius Malema

EFF leader Julius Malema, who risked arrest had he failed to appear in the Randburg magistrate’s court on Monday, said it was irresponsible for the court to have summoned him to appear.

Speaking to the media shortly after his case was heard in court, where his trial was set down for October, Malema said: “I think it was unnecessary for us to come today because we are going through a pandemic as a country, therefore any court that requests us to appear without [hearing evidence in the] trial is risking our lives and the lives of ordinary people.”

Malema said the court had placed himself and others in danger by making him physically attend proceedings.

Didn't stop those kunts assembling outside Clicks.

They also called on both Unilever and Clicks to meet at their HQ, where the EFF had them in their court.

Though he has stated now,

“I think it was unnecessary for us to come today because we are going through a pandemic as a country, therefore any court that requests us to appear without [hearing evidence in the] trial is risking our lives and the lives of ordinary people.”

the EFF puts everyone on trial which doesn't abide by their ideologies.

“I think it was unnecessary for us to come today because we are going through a pandemic as a country, therefore any court that requests us to appear without [hearing evidence in the] trial is risking our lives and the lives of ordinary people.”

And yet several days ago you did just that. Many of them were shot at by police, arrested, and many were without masks putting themselves and the general public in danger. You contaminated the clicks stores and you put the police, emergency services and thousands of other people at risk of COVID-19 infection, injury and death with your temper tantrum. You destroyed businesses and disrupted the economy at a time when there is already a national and global disaster on the go.

And NOW you are suddenly concerned about risks? I think it's become very obvious that you are more than willing to thrown innocent men, women and children onto the train tracks to satisfy your personal agenda.
