NSA spying on regular Internet users

Of course there is more ordinary citizens than terrorists or the like, you throw in such a big net you are bound to catch a lot of fish you are not interested in
 
haha.. I hope no one is surprised by this! Isn't it obvious that everything we do online is always subject to some kind of snooping by governments. I would be more surprised if the article said that NSA did not spy on regular internet users at all.
