"number does not exist"

My mom is on CellC

every time she tries to make a call it says "number does not exist"

I tried calling myself from her phone and got the same thing.

Any idea what could be the matter?

Does she have any issues with receiving calls and does she experience this issue with numbers from a specific network?

Hi

She is receiving calls as per normal.
I know that she has tried calling a telkom landline, and my MTN number.

both give the same issue.

she still can't make calls. has plenty minutes available, but it keeps saying the number does not exist.

tried that. went in circles - never managed to speak to a consultant

will try sim in another phone.

I have had this issue as well, it comes and goes.

I have also been stuck on Edge (2G) since last week, I had full LTE service before last week, yet my sister on MTN and my Boyfriend on Vodacom both have 4G.

Porting tonight to Vodacom.

So over Cell C now.

One minute they are network sharing with MTN, then they moved all contracts to Vodacom Roaming.

What a mess.

My whole family is leaving Cell C.
I have been with them since the day they launched. Sad to go, but I can't put up with the constant poor network anymore.

We have already bought ourselves out of our contracts and begun our port outs.

2 of 6 numbers already on Vodacom now.
The rest to be ported next week.

Cell C should have stuck to MTN sharing.
The whole Vodacom roaming situation has left many Cell C customers with a bad taste in their mouths.
