number porting unsuccessful

Hi,

maybe the MTN rep here can help.

We are busy porting a number back to MTN (083 number) since 22 April.
It has started at the Cape Town Airport branch. We bought a new SIM and the lady there initiated everything for the porting. But it was unsuccessful. A few more visits in different MTN branches such as Somerset Mall and phone calls had been done. A few SIM cards later we still don't have our number back. Every time, the staff of the shop initiated the number porting and the phone kept off for more than 24 hours.
According to www.porting.co.za it has been ported back to MTN but we still do not have this number. What went wrong?
