Numsa threatens power blackout in SA

Very simple, institute disciplinary hearings, then fire the lot of them...

When they've lost their jobs, see how quickly the Union starts to fold.

And while the army/police patrols the power stations 24x7 until the unions folded completely.

If needs be, yes...

and since the power stations are nationally important, any attempt to gain entry to said power station should be met with deadly force in my opinion.

The time has long since passed where these Unions get treated with kid gloves, if they're going to threaten the national powergrid, then they should be put down as the terrorists that they are.

Exactly this. Behave like a terrorist, get treated like one IMHO.

The stupid part will be that the Union bosses will be safe at home and this would only result in deaths of the workers who could have possibly been forced into it.

What? And force people to work against their will?
Sorry, that is not how we operate

Nobody is going to force them to work, they can strike (wildcat), and be fired for their efforts...

but if they threaten the national powergrid by trying to gain access to power plants when they shouldn't be there, they need to be put down as the terrorists that they are.

Dirty tactics to achieve a living wage increase is probably the new norm of bargaining for all unions in South Africa.

Why do companies make it so difficult for their employees to get a living wage increase these days, noting the increase in prices for almost everything in the last few months?

They never claimed that. They simply said they wouldn't work, regardless of losing protected strike status

This statement in the article indicates that they are threatening the national grid. They are welcome not to work, but they must then deal with the consequences of losing their jobs.

“There is not going to be load-shedding. It will be total blackout.”
