Is it just me, or are those pretty damn decent prices?

280x is actually faster than the 380.

I have both (well, test systems), the PowerColor R9 380 PCS+ and XFX R9 280X DD Black Edition. Utilising the latest AMD driver (Catalyst 15.7.1) the R9 380 wins on average.

Edit: Typo

Imagine if the rand was still R10 to the dollar.
90W TDP though, will have to wait for bench results though, but this card could beat the R9 270/R9 270x at least.
Wonder how cheap you can go on the PSU with them.

Listen up sprog, back in the early 80's a us dollar was like 83 local cents. Sad state of affairs indeed. Still recall importing hardware from a uk company called Datel back in the day where the rand/pound was like 2.5-3:1

Really? I am looking at the stats for both, only the pixel rate should be better on the R9 380.
What are the rest of the specs of both systems?
