Nvidia unveils super-cheap GeForce GT 1030 graphics card

R7 240 from AMD with 128bit memory is much better in my opinion.

???

eSports use the highest end gear.
They run silly 4:3 (or 3:4) screen resolutions. They don't need a 1080ti to run at those resolutions. They also only use higher end stuff for streaming purposes.

Lol! I never knew I needed a 1080Ti to run CSGO, Overwatch, Dota 2 or League of Legends.

There are multiple genres of eSports out there. Try running rFactor 2 or iRacing with that. It'll just laugh at you, and then proceed to melt itself.

The R7 240 isn't GDDR5?

Bit of mixed info on the net and my work internet is too slow to go through every R7 240 model to check. But lets assume you are right. Is GDDR5 memory at 64bit > DDR3 memory at 128bit?

LOL

You are incredibly misinformed.

This is more the CSGO community. Pro streamers do use streaming hardware, also why some newer gaming laptops has integrated dedicated streaming chips.

Yes, there are multiple genres, but the RX460/560, GTX 1050/Ti are aimed at the esports market, obliviously targeting optimal FPS in the mainstream games. South Africa is a drop in the esports ocean, games like CSGO, dota 2 and alike has a huge user base in North and South America, Europe and Asia.
