Nvidia's RTX graphics cards aren't very popular

The average gamer won't need to upgrade their cards annually.
Majority have 1000 series cards and that's still good enough for a while

My 1660ti cost me R4500 in March, the 2060 was about R1500 more. I was like I don't really care for Ray tracing yet for the whole 4 games that support it.

And raytracing if enabled would cripple a 2060.

Crippled me 1660ti as well :). But yeah doesn't really improve a whole lot with the 2060 which is supposed to have RTX cores. The 2070 is still ridiculously overpriced.

Problem is I only have one kidney left after donating one to purchase my 1080Ti, so I need to find other organs to upgrade
I bought a second hand RX Vega 64... plenty happy with it (For R5K)

I really think the RTX 2060 is a good buy for the performance you get (not with RTX on)

Most people are still on 1080p 60hz monitors making anything faster than a 1070 or RX 590 a waste of money. I do not know 1 person gaming on a 4k monitor. And I only know 1 person with a 1440p 144hz monitor. Everyone else gaming casually has 1080p monitors.

Now you know of 1 4K gamer... (but to be honest, I usually scale back to 1440p for FPS)

I liked this LTT video on RTX, 1160 vs 2060 is also compared,

Just adds perspective. I don't know why people bitch about the 2060, it is good value and most reviewers pointed that out when comparing to the 1160.

The 2070 Ti, well, those Steam survey charts are going to change soon.

Most competitive and serious games I know are now at 27-32" 1440p. I still play at 1080p, happy with +100 FPS (Ultra settings) in The Division 2 with my V64.

The 1660 and ti are great value for money. The 2060 at 1500 more hmmm
It should be ~R1000 more, but this is South Africa. NVidia price restructuring is also rumoured to happen after E3, if they follow their own cycle, and if GPU mining stays away for good. If the RTX series is to be seen price adjusted, then the question is whether they will place pressure on their existing GTX series, because I just can't see NVidia do that compromise. The consumer will be happy, but NVidia will be hard-pressed to reduce the price of the 1660.

All I know is Lisa Su's uncle, Jensen, Huang, is holding the ace, and he will obliterate Navi when it hits the market, it will be Super.
