So space-time expands and it is filled with more stuff than previously thought. I still don't know what to think of what space-time expands into? Can something lie beyond? Can't the universe be infinite in size and we are just in a portion that is expanding?

Do you selectively apply this arguments only to religious factions and then pronounce them insane? Or do you apply that to all the different factions of all the ideologies of the world and also pronounce them insane?
E.g. all the different factions of socialism and democracies etc. ALSO resulted (and even more so) in the slaughtering and persecution of millions of people. Are these people believing in democracy and/or socialism etc. also now insane/delusional?

Good question :)

I was responding to "religion being a foundation of reason" which I do not agree with.
That doesnt mean everyone who is religious is insane/demented; not at all.
Most people are good and rational; religious or not.

It's not expanding, it's fracturing/disintegrating. Think of bubbles endlessly popping into smaller and more numerous bubbles.

If you are the real original Slootvreter 1 million other fakes won't change the fact that you are the real original Slootvreter in the end there can be only one. For monotheism at least.

The real original according to who?

The more knowledge we acquire of the universe, the more obviously absurd traditional theologies and their concept of some kind of separate, all-controlling intelligence directing life on earth becomes. I'm not entirely prepared to rule out the possibility of a "higher power", but I suspect that if such a thing exists, we radically misunderstand it's nature. Perhaps the very laws of physics and mathematics are our "higher power" but they are so pervasive and obvious that we fail to see them as such?

Dr Kaku has the same thought. He was voted as the top scientist in the USA last year and is studying the string theory. Our galaxy is but a bubble in a sea of bubbles. They can pop in and out of existence.

To further confuse us, he said that the missing matter is the dark matter that is invisible to us but observed by space probes are other galaxies in different dimensions. This is widely accepted and efforts are been made at CERN to create this dark matter. If they can create this then we will have to re-write all of science that we know.

If this is successful then the string theory will be solved and will become The Theory of Everything (TOE). It will even explain our conscientious that is part of everything and can never be extinguished.
