Samsung S3 Mini trying to get the SIM#, apps on android store only give a 19-digit number, nothing printed on SIM and MTN can't seem to get it either if I give them the phone number.

Any ideas?

what are the first 4 digits the android apps are giving you?

The other idea is to find an iphone and go into the settings, you can get the ICCID in the system settings somewhere

Yeah ICC-ID is on the sim itself.

@Nod : IMEI Is the device's serial number. Nothing to do with the SIM.

The bigger question is why do you need it?

The fact that it's not printed on the SIM is reason to worry and might be part of the underlying problem of why you need it in the first place.

Is the short number on the SIM "901111..." or something close to it?

That is your ICCID.

I concur.

MTN should have the IMSI showing up on their system and be able to surmise the ICC-ID from there as it's two versions of the same thing really.

But based on your cell numbers they should have it all linked in a single database anyway.

But they are all useless. Cellular providers I mean.

Your IMSI should start with 65510, if it was not ported to MTN.

Why is in only 19 digits when it should be 20?

Trust me I tried MTN twice and they say they can't 'pick it up'.

I would like to port my number, saw some thing where you can initiate the process via SMS but it specifies it wants the 20-digit ICCID.

There is nothing dodgy here, the SIM is old & I got it in 2005 when I signed up for a new contract with MTN back in the day. I've been using this SIM for more than 11yrs now if I'm not mistaken.

You don't need the ICCD of the current providor, you need the ICCD of the new sim card on the new network.

Lol. Hope so for your case at least.

What ancient phone have you been using that still supports a full size SIM card?
