We have recently started to mobilise to site for the building of Medupi Power Station and require high speed coms urgently - Currently only intermittent Edge/GPRS is available. A real problem if you have issued you workforce with MTN data cards, but the communication on site is not functioning.
The area still consists mainly of game and cattle farming communities, but during peak of construction, we expect up to 5 000 contractors on site, most of which will require good communication.
The site is located in the Lephalale (Ellisras) area - See it at longitude 27.55658073556804 latitude -23.71055803081684.
Who do we contact and how do we start the process of obtaining improved coms on site and even parts of the town? Even if it is temporary at first – I have seen mobile cell towers, just don’t know if MTN has it available for these or similar construction sites?
