That's definitely a scam. Amazed you even need to ask.
Thanks for the headsup @Johnatan56 - not being technically minded, I needed to ask ...

Just a quick Google will show you the FB page which says it's a scam. This is on top of pretty much all news related to it be from Feb 2018 on-wards. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/super-antenna-octa-air-legitimate-replacement-cable/ has an okay write-up. You wouldn't be able to watch Dstv as they are encrypted.

Your best bet would still be to find someone who has premium and ask if you can use their details as well using the online services or find other sources/streams. Most sports have a lot of "free" streams if you can find them.

It's just a flat antenna used for DTT (digital terrestrial television) like GOtv or SABC. Remember the original analoge MNet? Well just like that except the signal is digital. If the channel is encrypted then you will need a decoder to decrypt the channel. For unencrypted channels you will either need a tv with a digital tuner or a STB (set top box).

So they are not being honest. The antenna can pick up DTT (free and paid for) but it won't decrypt them if they are encrypted. Check out:

BTW SABC is not actually free, you are meant to pay a license fee every year.

So to answer your question, No SS is not available for free using just an aerial. With a GOtv decoder you can get SSBlitz

Just as an afterthought and maybe to justify my questions, please check out this link http://strekozadaily.com/Antennaza4853fgb/LP5/HDAntennaza1.html?uclick=qeuo17, which had me going ...

Just quick pick-ups:
Title is click-bait > Law being passed for free HD TV? Really?
Date doesn't even say April.
"Cable Companies Are Trying To Stop This Story Spreading..." more clickbait.

Since this article was written on 01/10/18 and gone viral the Octa Air antenna has exploded in popularity and sold over 1.8 MILLION UNITS. To help you take advantage of this opportunity Octa Air reached out to us and offered us one-time 50% discount.
One time discount for everyone, right...
And you think the article wouldn't be biased if they're getting free stuff?

All the "FB" reviews are empty in terms of reviewing the actual product and the time stamp are all a couple of minutes ago, no matter how long you wait; try following a profile. The "Faceboook Comments Plugin" at the bottom is an image, blurred already on a 1080p screen.

This doesn't take into account that the entire menu doesn't link anywhere, you can't click on the author to get more articles, the number of views is static.

Really not sure how this had you going...

Hi All,
I can confirm that you get no signal,
i ordered this, did some research, but it doesn't get ANY channels, i live in fourways south africa .
I was never expecting DSTV, but was hoping atleast good reception of the sabc and etv channels (since my complex didnt install normal antennas)
DONT BUY IT,
even when i wanted a refund they where rude and offered me 90% back if i ship it back to them, lol.
also worth mentioning it that they put the wrong amount on the way bill, which resulted in a R200 release fee from the post office.
again.
DONT BUY IT>
