<br />Well I've now seen evidence of whats happening and from what I see there is defenently gonna be a vast improvement but a lot of it depends on people outside Sentech and as long as they play ball we should meet this deadline.

I see a lot of people giving up right now. And thats fair enough after 110 odd days of crap service. I think a deadline works both ways though. So seeing as most of us have tacitly accepted the end of August deadline, I am happy to wait till then to see how things are. I dunno, it would just kill me to have to put up with MyWireless while it simply sucks only to abandon it when it comes right.
Of course, we have the new pot of gold at the end of the rainbow called iBurst flashing it's temptress smile at us. It's a completely different issue that iBurst seems to be a far superior technology. From what I have seen, iBurst is inherently better than IPW and even if MyWireless is fixed, it simply can't compete. Lets see (What I have heard, I cannot verify)
Low latency (almost comparable to ADSL)
Long Range (10km+)
Truely Portable (As in works while moving)
Developed on Unix (Like I care, but Rodent Seems to).
No Cap
No Shaping
I think the price will be paramount here. If it comes in at anywhere near the same as MyWireless / ADSL then it will be a killer. Hell I would pay significantly more if it works as expected.
I would of course move heavan and earth not to enter a 2 year contract. I would MUCH rather buy the terminal thingy (technical term) up front and then have a monthly / three monthly contract. Sentech has taught me well.
I think that a lot of people will want out of their contracts even if things are fixed, merely because they bet on the wrong horse. I guess I would be one of them. So I see Sentech becoming very sticky about letting people out of their contracts soon. I have a feeling that that's going to be a much harder battle than people think.
What happens when all these contracts start expiring is another issue of course. Unless there is a Telkom style huge price difference, iBurst will be cleaning up big time. Unless of course Rodent is being sued for www.iburstsucksthesweatoffadeadmansballs.co.za
