Odds of the MW service being fixed by end August?

yes, you are, we all were, and should have seen this coming when Marcel didn't make good on her promise to fix it when TheRodent so WILLINGLY handed over his websites to them when, after they promised it would be fixed and if fixed, he would give the sites to them, bullied him with "legal action" rather than fixing the problem.

I tell you now, if it weren't for the consumer bitching to IPW DIRECTLY, Sentech would have carried on, blaming its customer for abusing the network, and swear on the bible that nothing is wrong

As indicated in the notice posted on 18th August 2004 we have implemented certain upgrades on the MyWireless 256 package and will implement similar upgrades on the MyWireless 128 and 512 products.

Sentech listen to me... the issue is speed here - if I don't get at least 80% of my paid for bandwidth (256k) per month I am going to cancel.
The reason I am saying this is that they seem to fix ping times (sometimes) even my SNL jumped from 9 to a surprising 13 today, someone bumped the tower (66 - fourways) but I still get 33.6k speeds!!!!

I only joined for one reason and that is to get 256k B-R-O-A-D-B-A-N-D. Hope I get it by 1 Sept otherwise astalavista baby.

Tomorrow (1 September) is I will try to download XP SP2 viral infection (all 200Mb+ of it) ..... Will be the final test ...

what we need to do is get together 30 users ... in one place at one time and only allow 1 person at a time to download if the speed is not 100% of package then we know sentech have done nothing and they cant tell you 4kbs is "good" as the other 29 were standin watching there modemes idle ..

Great idea, that would look impressive.
Get the media to watch this experiment.
But maybe wait 1st for SenTech to oficially announce
that their "upgrades" are done and there are no more problems ?

You're assuming contention is controlled at the tower/nodeB, which I seriously doubt

you are quite correct Luke ... from previous discussions there seems to be no restriction at the tower/nodedb level ...

Basically we're technically able to achieve 3mbs from modem to STP (but their microwave links would die with multiple users) ... throttling is then done at STP ...

By the looks of things TCP ACK packets are still going to /dev/null instead of being managed intelligently.
