Hi guys,

Are there any members here with ODS? How are they? Good experiences? Bad experiences?

I've been looking through these forums up and down and I can't find any good or bad mentions of ODS. But I find a few good mentions of OpenWeb.

I am trying to decide between OpenWeb and ODS for my uncapped/unshaped service, and would like to hear any good or bad reviews about either ISP, if anyone wants to comment.

Thanks,
:L:

Well, since I represent ODS, I can cannot comment as it would not be independent.

What I can tell you is that, should you sign up an uncapped 512k with 5 Static IP addresses before the end of the Week you will get the first month free. (This is only on units with 5 Static IP addresses)

If you sign up for a normal account, you can win a Video IPOD, we give one away every month.

I'm only signing up for the express account. I have no need for static IP addresses. But that Video iPod sounds like fun. *so how many people do you have signing up every month? what are my chances - hehe - jk*

Wonder if OpenWeb have any similar competitions other than their 1024 competition, which I've already entered.

Our next competition will be launched shortly after we have announced the winner of our 1024k.

I am thinking of something entirely different this time;)

Yeah, I'd also like cheaper deals.

I heard from Hyperlink that they are soon going through a change with their pricing structure in the next few months.

I wonder if OpenWeb or ODS are going to be restructuring their prices? hehe

Hopefully in the future...

I signed up for 512k uncapped ADSL with ODS last week and it's been going great... until this morning

I'm writing this post using a local only account that hasn't expired yet because, as of 8:00 this morning, I can no longer login using my ODS account. I've been on the phone with their support staff all day, who've been giving me the runaround all day. Apparently the problem lies with Datapro, who's `authentication realm` is used by ODS although they buy their bandwidth directly from IS

So they've been trying to get answers from Datapro all day, while I'm trying to get answers from them. Even though it's not technically their fault, the fact that there are so many players involved makes support very difficult

It's almost 15:30 and I'm still not back online, hence I cannot recommend ODS. I spoke to Openweb this morning, who assured me they deal directly with IS in situations like these

To sum up, I'm probably ditching ODS for Openweb next month

Thanks for the comment drjeep. Probably going with OpenWeb. As I see more good comments about them on the forum than ODS.

Sorry ODS. :(
