Just FYI here....

You can create a new level 1 toon after you accept the scrolll, log out, log back into Battle.net and just upgrade him to level 80. This toon can be on ANY realm.

I had a dormant vanilla account and sent it to this, got my level 80 and transferred it to my current used account... had to pay for the transfer though, but it sure as hell beats levelling up another character from level 1.

It works on any account that been inactive since the 4th of March 2012 or earlier. So yea if you've been out for 8 months it'll work.

No.. It must be inactive since the 4th March or earlier .. This was true on the 5th March.
If it expired after the 4th it won't be eligible, not now, not in a months time.

If it worked on accounts expiring after it was announced it's pretty obvious that a lot of people would just let their accounts expire in order to get a free lvl 80, which obviously they do not want
I know I would've done this .. unfortunately it won't work.
