All Blacks:

15 Israel Dagg
14 Ben Smith
13 Conrad Smith
12 Ma'a Nonu
11 Charles Piutau
10 Lima Sopoaga
9 Aaron Smith
8 Kieran Read
7 Richie McCaw (captain)
6 Liam Messam
5 Brodie Retallick
4 James Broadhurst
3 Owen Franks
2 Dane Coles
1 Tony Woodcock

Reserves: Codie Taylor, Wyatt Crockett, Ben Franks, Sam Whitelock, Victor Vito, TJ Perenara, Beauden Barrett, Malakai Fekitoa.

Huge game for Sopoaga. Probably the biggest test for an AB - Springboks at Ellis Park.

I'm keen to see how their front-row copes in the scrums. Honestly don't know if Woodcock has what it takes any more.

I wonder if you can place a bet on how many box kicks Ruan Pienaar will kick during the world cup :erm:

LOL!!!

I have a gut feeling we'll pull one over the NZ team this weekend. Superbru pick will be SA by 6

pipe dreams

pollard will suck again
de Allende is schit on defense and they will target him

i hope our scrums will be good. if our scrums are crap, so will we. our pack needs to dominate. less pick and drives. we need front foot ball if we are going to beat these guys. going to have play hardloop rugby. less kicking, need to hold on to that ball, and put in a lot of phases.

That's the one concern about Brüssow - not physical enough.

Ruan was ok on saturday. More than what can be said for Reinach.... talk about pointless box kicks :whistling:

Reinach was on for 13 minutes...

He's the closest thing we have to Smith. Just needs to get game time to get his form back.

QFT. We'll have to hold onto the ball (do we know how to do that?) and run at them to have a chance at a win...any pointless/aimless kicks will be punished. Alas I don't see HM's game plan changing much from last week and if we don't show some intelligence and flair with the ball in hand I still reckon the AB's by 14+.

As for Pollard I'm hoping he has a much better day but I'm not holding my breath. We may see Lambie coming on a lot earlier than expected.

well, maybe Brussow not being physical (big enough) for pick and drives, will force us to play a little bit more expansive. We have enough other ball carriers up front to ignore the size of heinrich.

I'm more concerned about:
dear god,

please can we hold onto the ball as long as possible on saturday without kicking it away.

regards,
every damn springbok supporter in the world, ever.

amen.

yeh of course. but ruan pienaar didn't have a bad game by any standard, and i'm no RP fan.

and even if he follows the same stupid kicking game plan, at least that little guy knows where the opposition ankles are. @pollard, protip here, it's not around the guys chest.

Not so much for pick & drives, but more for being able to clear rucks, protect the breakdown and get some punch in the set piece.

Your other concerns go without saying. :p

if we can give heinrich one job, it would be to stop mcCaw from being mcCaw. When that old bitch tries to slow down ball, which he does so elegantly well, pick him up like a sack of mielies and toss him aside ;)

something like this:
