People were asking for any striker, just get a new striker other than Giroud. Cant say they didn't get what they asked for

I doubt this guy even qualifies for a work permit, so I really cant see him being THE striker.

but I guess where is the fun in using common sense

He is a Japanese international so I'm sure he will qualify for a Permit

I am sure this guy hasn't been purchased to help with us compete for the title this year so I don't mind this signing.

our right side still bothers me when alexis isn't playing, cant rely on Walcott and ox lately and wenger seems to hate poor joel Campbell :(

He's been miles better than The Ox and Theo but Wenger always snubs him. The old man knows how to push my buttons!

yeah I really like the energy and power thayt Joel brings to the team when he plays down the right flank. I would have him in my team over OX or Walcott any day of the week.

Hopefully he will get more opportunity this year.

And how good has Ramsey been in the Euro's so far? going to be a big miss for Wales in the semi's

Joel is also better defensively than Ox and Theo, and really shows that he loves playing. And his through balls...

I wasn't aware Sanchez played on the right... I thought he was used mostly on the left...

Ramsey tied with Hazard in most assist for the tournament of far. (4)

Ozil 3rd in chances created (17). Payet (21), De Bruyne (23).

Xhaka 2nd in most passes completed. (369) Kroos is top. (509)

Stats from @OptaJoe via Twitter. I'm assuming this is up to and including the quarter finals.

Ozil, Ramsey, Kos and Giroud is involved in the Euros and some might still be part of that until the end. Sanchez will need rest + he is injured. Welbeck is injured long term.

We're going into the first month of the season with some key players missing. City, Chelsea and United have new managers ready to make their mark.

Makes it so frustrating with the lack of action on the transfer front. A midfielder and a striker for the future could just be our window, that is not beyond what Wenger is capable of.

Well we'll need someone. Seems Giroud is also carring a knock and might not feature in the semi's for France.

Pity the Vardy deal fell through.
After seeing how Giroud has been linking up with Griezmann in the Euros, I think he and Vardy could have built up a nice striking partnership.
