They'd beat every team that tried to play ball against them and struggle to break down the others (but they would break them down more often than not)...I'd say they'd finish top 3 again though with Athletico taking the title because they can grind out wins better than the other 2.

How do you reckon they'd cope without their winter break?

As things stand I can't see myself watching a lot of football this season. We're heading for the same old same old. It'll either be a bad start with a strong finish for 4th or a good start and then tapering off in the end for 4th.

It's probably going to be the former, with most of our key players having been involved with their countries. We've got a tough start. We might see a Wenger trolly dash on deadline day again. Atleast there is something entertaining to look forward to.

The trolley dash was to fill many places in the starting 11. We only need one WC striker this time. Everything else is a nice to have

The trolly dash was after we got hammered 8-2 by United. If it wasn't for that Wenger would have gone into the season with a squad he thought was good enough for whatever his ambitions was.

Last season he bought a keeper thinking his squad is good enough to win the league. This season is probably going to be the toughest ever. (Some team is probably going to win the league with 20 points now :p)

Chelsea revived under under new management.
United under Mourinho whom he's never beaten in the league + some signings the could improve their squad.
City with doing what City does + Pep.
Spurs is active and we only manage to pass them on the last day.
Leicester seems to be keeping their squad intack.
Liverpool first full season under Klopp.

Wenger is going into the season with the same, somehow expecting a different outcome. He's probably going to be forced to bring his international players back early, which will have us neck deep in bandages again by October.

He hasn't done enough in the transfer market for 10 years, he always comes up just short. He'll never win the league with tactics, the only why he can and the only way he has won the league is by having the best team. Tactically he comes up short against everyone I've mentioned above.

I am just tired watching the same movie over and over. Sorry for the negativity, just how I feel at this moment. Tomorrow we'll sign Messi as our tax accountant and all will be well again. :p

I feel the same. I eventually feel better about it and end up being grateful for the minging in the market when I realise we have more debt than any of the clubs I wish we could compete with.

Arsenal will never win the league under the ownership of Stan Kroenke.
Kroenke is a businessman, not a sports fan.
The balance sheet is number one on his list, not trophies.

Still not pleased with AW letting Henry go because of his Sky commitments.

Some more random crap today: Giroud may be part of a deal for Higuain. You know things are bad for us when that's the only news circulating...

We're Gooners! Eternal pessimists before the season has even started! :D

It's not really being pessimistic, but just looking at the facts. Going into a season with Giroud as our only proper striker hasn't work for us in past seasons now we're going into a season were not even he is available from the start.

For those who say just be patient Wenger will sign somebody, just go look at this thread in previous seasons. We've been here before and Wenger has yet to come up with the goods.

I actually like Akpom might as well give him a go.

Welbeck is injured long term will most probably be back Jan/Feb next year.

The rest are all wide players and if you decide to use them in the middle then you're just going to be short of wide players. Which is going to force you to play your mid fielders on the wings. Ramsey as an example.

Sanchez is injured and on holiday as well.

I just don't understand how every club somehow manages to buy players in positions they need to strengthen except us. Maybe I'm missing something, but for me it's totally insane.

Was on loan at West Brom

I know but he didn't play a lot for them. 12min in total according to whoscored.com.

So I think he was injured or if he was not selected then surely he is not going to make it. He is 21 already.
