No time to sign anyone else. That was a story on Reddit about his experience at Arsenal.
He actually didn't look half bad in the one game he played for us. Pity about his broken back and all.

I don't buy the "no-one else available", "not enough time" excuses from AW anymore. Not when EVERY other team in the league magically has enough time to find decent players during every window.

What oyu talking about? He was the one that let Pogba run circles around him and cross in for the decisive goal

Germany was pressing so high in that match, committing six players to the final third they were begging to get countered

We have chance to sign him so he is a great player. If we sign him, he is obviously world class. If we miss out on the transfer I agree, he basic sh*t. :D

"Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has appointed Per Mertesacker as club captain despite the player being out until the New Year with injury."

Its things like these that make my jaw drop with this club. I fully understand having an experienced, commanding and respected figure as a captain.. but come on man, the dudes gonna be sitting in a med room for the next 5 months yet he'll be the official captain? ... asofihasiofjasiofjasiofj, at least Leicester lost :p

Arteta was captain and we can count his appearances last season on one hand.

I think he's a great choice for captain: he's apparently the most vocal in the dressing room at HT, and also gets a bit shouty on the field. What he doesn't have in ability, he makes up for with passion - remember him kakking on Özil when he didn't applaud the fans? If our starting XI had that much passion, we'd win the league every year.

Now, the fact that he's injured for so long also negates everything above, as he won't be in the dressing room at HTC, nor on the field. But who else is there with "Arsenal" experience? Currently, he's one of the players who's been there the longest. There's also the small matter of whoever becomes our captain retires or gets sold pretty soon after.

Well all the other teams started out with relatively easy fixtures. At least we're going to be put to the test right at the start

Nice. Lovely pass from Iwobi though. Moreno must please continue with those studs up tackles.
