come on we always lose the first match, who actually thought our foetus defense was gonna hold up
Was watching AFTV - usual Gooners ranting outside the Emirates, but they all shared the same sentiment: don't blame the boys at the back, blame the twat who put them there.

Özil, Giroud, Kos all rested because of Euro commitments. Sagna played the full 90mins of the Euro final, but played the full 90mins for Man City, too - where were our star players? Ramsay going down injured (again) isn't because he played in the Euro semi - it's because of piss poor preseason preparation. We had Santi and a £35mil signing sitting on the bench ffs!

Oh, and yeah, Lacazette scored a hat trick yesterday, too.

First game of the season and we're already on the back foot.

It's all round **** management, all the way from the board down to AW.

Basically comes down to this. With exception of the down to Wenger part. Wenger is the dictator of Arsenal. There is nobody with more influence at the club than him. As much has been said in the media before. He's got to take the brunt of the responsibility.

Actually spoils the rest of the week until we win again. Every time you go to SS3, it would either be replayed as match of the week or them idiot talk shows be singing and laughing about our misfortune.

My thing with Arsene Wenger is that the whole world can see what's missing except him. Since last season we've needed a CB, CDM and striker. The transfer window started so well with Xhaka and bidding for Vardy. When Vardy decided not to join there was no plan B and no real talk of a CB. Then Mertesacker gets injured and still nothing concrete and then Gabriel gets injured and all Arsene says is we only need to strengthen at the back. We have no real options upfront except for Chuba who is still a child, and we all saw what happened to the kids yesterday. Alexis was tried and was invisible, there were times I thought he was subbed because he was just missing. So to Arsene "Spend some f*****g money."

He should have already spent it. The season has started and by his own admission we were not ready.

We are not the only team who had players at the international tournaments, we're not the only team who have to work in the current transfer market, we're not the only team with injuries.

We're just the only team who management can't deal with it.

On a serious note - will the trolley dash come if you lose to Leciester?

I'm not sure it's possible. We can't make a transfer to save our lives atm. I don't know how they plan to sign multiple players in one day if they fail to sign any in the last 2 months.

Hope there's no trolley dash as that will just prop up the arrogant old bastid. He must just ensure he delivers 7th then they won't renew his contract . Leaving a nice easy start with low expectation for a new manager - don't know where they're going to find one right now due to the old coot holding out so long all the desirable managers have been signed up.

Trolly dash will be difficult. Mainly because he can't seem to identify more than two targets at once. Lacazette said that if serious offers come in, he'll go - which automatically excludes us. Valencia want more for Mustafi as well, probably because they can now smell the desperation.

And Ramsey is out for a month (so 3 months).

Well after the 1st half i was pleasantly surprised... maybe that's just because Liverpool made us look good.
2nd half was miff.

So all in all not surprised. Boo'd off after the 1st game of the season, lekker.
Already been chirped by all the guys at work, simple ones like "tough game hey"... :(

Not a new thing, so doubt the manager is even phased: loss last season to West Ham, and a couple of seasons before that to Villa.

yeah i remember it happening previously... the fact that its still happening is worry, what is it like 6 losses on day 1 and 1 draw?
I dont even know whats going to happen. Trolley dash, pay the 50 mill we been hoping he would for a 21 year old from ligue2 in france...

I dunno... doesn't make sense and we will never understand.
